Include Custom Shapes for Tapered Beams

The tapered beam feature is currently only available for standard template shapes. Can the tapered beam feature be expanded to allow the user to import custom DXF shapes?
This would drastically increase the usefulness of the tapered beam feature since tapered beams are commonly custom-made by welding individual plates together.
