Sorry just now getting back with you. I usually design the timber piles for homes. We also use some design checks for retaining walls and for fences.
The design code would be IBC (International Building Code) Chapter 18.
Specifically 1803, 1806, and 1807.

It would be nice to be able to use either all or some of the design method options for cohesionless or cohesive soils as shown in table 5.1 in the Timber Pile Manual.
Also a check on uplift for the timber piles, as stated in section 5.7, which will basically be checking 1/3 of ultimate shaft resistance. Understanding wood piles are unreliable as stated in this section, but maybe at least noting/flagging it so that further uplift support is needed.
